SuperIntelligence Infrastructure 2.6%reading

Frequently asked questions

What is si-infra.com?

SuperIntelligence Infrastructure tracks one question: how close are we to superintelligence? It answers with one number from 0 to 100, the reading, and with a journal of sourced analyses that move it. The reading started at 0 on March 11, 2026. It reaches 100 when the public record shows everything our definition of superintelligence requires. The founding paper sets out the definition, the method and what 20, 50, 90 and 100 percent mean.

Why is the reading so low?

The reading counts evidence that is on the public record: filings, measurements, energized power plants, regulators' orders. A lab's claim or a demo moves it a little. A measured result moves it more. The definition asks a lot: weeks of unsupervised expert work across most jobs, ten gigawatts of computing acting as one machine, self-improvement that outsiders can measure, and proof of what ran. Most of that is still ahead.

How does one story move the number?

Each analysis argues for one move, up or down, in one of eight areas: compute, energy, network fabric, capability, autonomy, verification, capital and governance. The size of the move depends on the strength of the evidence:

  • Confirmed evidence (a filing, a measurement, a regulator's order) may move the reading 0.8 to 1.5 points.
  • Reported evidence (a credible news report, or a company announcing its own plan) may move it 0.3 to 0.8 points.
  • Inferred evidence (a pattern read from weaker signals) may move it 0.1 to 0.5 points.

One day moves the reading 1.5 points at most, however many stories land. The full rules are on the method page.

Every number links to its source

Each figure in a story carries a bracketed number, like [3]. It points to the numbered source list at the end of the story, with the publisher, the date and a link. Each graphic lists its sources under its caption and opens its full data table beneath.

Both sides, quoted in their own words

Every analysis names one person or organization arguing for the move and one arguing against it. Each is quoted directly, from a source you can open.

Corrections

We correct errors in place, mark the story with the date of the change, and log every correction in a public file in our repository. Tell us about an error at hello@si-infra.com.

Can I use your graphics?

Yes, with credit to si-infra.com and a link to the story. Every graphic carries the si-infra.com mark. Please keep the axis labels, the legend and the source line with the image, so readers can check it.

What changes on Oct. 31, 2026?

From Oct. 31, 2026, the journal, the full ledger history, the data downloads and the method pages will require a paid membership. The home page scoreboard, with the current reading and the latest move, stays free for everyone. Prices and plans will be posted here before that date. Subscribers to the email list hear first.

What happens to my email address?

We use it to send the reading when it moves and to tell you about membership. We keep it in a private spreadsheet that only the publisher can open. It stays with us, for those two uses alone. Unsubscribe at any time from any email, or by writing to hello@si-infra.com. The privacy page has the details.
